Yaupon is the only plant with natural caffeine native to this continent. It is considered a superfood high in several essential compounds:
quercetin-rutinoside – known to reduce inflammation, reduce allergies and stabilize metabolism
caffeine – you know this one
theobromine – “the chocolate molecule” supporting mood, creativity and the cardiovascular system
theacrine – popular in athletics
polyphenols – also found in plants like cinnamon, turmeric and blueberries with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties
prebiotic fiber – supports healthy digestion
Yaupon is also free of tannins and acids known to cause digestive distress and dental staining.
-
Due to the full spectrum of stimulating compounds, the energy boost of yaupon has a steadier rise and fall than that of coffee or energy drinks. This means one serving in the morning will last until the afternoon. A second serving in the afternoon will keep you energized until bedtime without the jitters or anxiety.

December Yaupon is grown on multigenerational, Regenerative Organic Certified farms right here in the Coastal Plains of Texas. It requires no chemical inputs or irrigation, making it one of Texas’ most sustainable exports.
