Hoist the mizzen and cinch up your cummerbund! Landlubbers welcome, costume or no, but pirate and/or nautical-themed costumes are encouraged. If you need a little inspiration, think: buccaneers, mer-people, sea monsters, parrots, etc, and then think: ...what would they wear to a school dance?
And once you make landfall:
- Dance a jig to the sounds of THEE HOBOGOBBELINS!
- Quaff the delicious delights of the December Yaupon Tea Company!
- Compete for a place in the PIRATE COURT! (i.e. a costume contest)

A relaxed, high-energy SXSW afternoon of panels, live art, music, and curated brand activations inside the UMLAUF garden. Meet founders, artists, and cultural leaders while exploring tastings, installations, and creative experiences throughout the space.
We’re expecting around 1,000 attendees, so please arrive early and ensure each ticket is registered individually. The shaded garden offers plenty of seating to comfortably stay, explore, and enjoy the activations all afternoon.
