Yaupon is a North American descendent of Yerba Mate. It offers the same benefits for the mind and body, but it’s traditionally dark roasted like coffee. The roasted leaves are brewed into a strong caffeinated beverage for daily rituals and special occasions.

Where can I buy December?

December harvests on Regenerative Organic Certified yaupon farms just east of Austin throughout the fall and winter seasons. Once harvested, the yaupon leaves are cured and reserved to be roasted and cold-brewed into into nitro cans and kegs year round. The entire brewing and canning process takes place right here in Austin.

A merry band of misfits hosted a series of dinner parties using local ingredients to support local farmers. Conversations lasted late into the night and calls for an energizing beverage grew loud. With the help of some wise elders, the highest quality Yaupon harvests were selected, cured, roasted and ground to the perfect size to be brewed and served to guests. Thus began December Yaupon!
The parties grew and the people decided to share this powerful beverage with the world. Two years and ten thousand yaupon drinks later, December Yaupon Nitro Cold Brew is coming to you!
